Chapter 26

มาธวีคิดว่าพิม์ลภัสคงกลัวการขึ้นโรงขึ้นศาลเหมือนที่พ่อเธอเคยกลัว แต่คราวนี้พิมพ์ลภัสไม่ใช่ตรัยที่เมื่อถูกท้าให้ไปแจ้งความ พิมพ์ลภัสจึงชวนมาธวีด้วย
Mathawee think that Pimlapat scare when she goes to court like her father was scare. Furthermore, Pimlapat is not Trai. When she dared to notify, Pimlapat invite Mathawee come together.
“อยากไปนักใช่มั้ยโรงพักน่ะ….ถ้าไม่อยากกราบฉัน อยากไปโรงพักนักก็เอา ไปกันเดี๋ยวนี้เลย” มาธวีถึงกับชะงัก
“Do you need to go to the police station too much, don’t you? If you don’t want to respect me, you want to go to the police station. It’s up to you. Let’s go now.” Mathawee stop abruptly.
“แปลกใจล่ะสิ ใช่เธอคิดถูกที่ฉันเกลียดการเป็นข่าว เกลียดการขึ้นโรงพัก แต่ฉันมาคิดดูแล้ว เธอก็น่าจะเกลียดการเป็นข่าวเหมือนกันนะมาธวี เพราะถ้าฉันแจ้งความจริงๆ นอกจากเธออาจจะติดคุกแล้ว ข่าวที่ออกมาคงทำให้ห้องเสื้อมาธวีฉาวโฉ่เป็นที่สุด” พิมพ์ลภัสยิ้มหวาน
“Do you surprise? Yes, you’re right that I’m hated to be news, hate to go to the police station. I think that you may be hated to be news too, Mathawee. If I notify the police, you may in jail, and the news of Mathawee boutique may get bad result.” Pimlapat smile sweetly.
“เธอพูดว่าถูกใส่ความได้ แต่อย่าลืมสิว่าฉันก็พูดได้เหมือนกัน ห้องเสื้อชั้นหนึ่งน่ะ ที่แท้ก็เป็นแค่ซ่องดีๆนี่เอง ตัวเธอก็แค่แม่เล้าชั้นสูงคอยจัดหาเด็กส่งเสี่ย”
“You can say that you are accused, but don’t forget that I can say like this too. First class boutique is just whore house. You are just high class chaperon who find girl a rich man.”
“โกหก นังบ้า…โกหกที่สุด”
“You lie. Shit. You lie.”
“ใช่ ฉันโกหก แต่พูดออกไปอย่างน้อยคนส่วนใหญ่ก็ต้องเชื่อ และกว่าเธอจะกู้ชื่อให้ห้องเสื้อได้ทุกอย่างก็คงเจ๊งหมดแล้ว ห้องเสื้อที่เธอตั้งขึ้นจากเลือดของพ่อฉัน ฉันนี่แหละจะทำให้มันพังคามือเลย คอยดูสิ”
“Yes, I lie. But I talk out, most people will believe that. That’s a long time you will get honour back, everything is lose. You made the boutique from my father blood; I will destroy it by my hand. You wait and see.”
“แกไม่กล้าหรอก ถ้ามีข่าวออกไปแกก็เสียชื่อเสียง”
“You’re not courageous. If you have news out, you will have bad reputation.”
“ฉันก็คิดดูแล้วอีกเหมือนกัน ว่าความเกลียดกับสวัสดิภาพของตัวเองแล้ว ฉันน่าจะเลือกเอาอย่างหลัง และถ้าฉันปล่อยเธอไปง่ายๆไม่มีหลักฐานอะไรไว้เลย อีกหน่อย เธอก็คงหาทางมาทำร้ายฉันอีก”
“I thought that between my dislike and my safety, I may choose my safety. If I let you go easily without evidence, you may find the way to hurt me again.”
“คุณคิดถูกแล้วพิมพ์ แจ้งความเลยแล้วกัน เดี๋ยวแวะโรงแรมลากตัวเสี่ยสมานไปด้วย รายนั่นจะไม่ยอมรับผิดคนเดียวหรอก คงมีการซักทอดกันใหญ่เลยล่ะ” รเมศบอกยิ้มๆและพากันออกไป มาธวีรู้สึกกลัวขึ้นมาทันที
“You’re right, Pim. Let’s notify, and call for rich man, Samaan, go together. That man wouldn’t admit alone, there is a big involvement.” Ramet told smiley and get out. Mathawee feels scare immediately.
“เธอชนะพิมพ์ลภัส แต่อย่าลำพองไปนะ เรื่องวันนี้ฉันไม่ลืมง่ายๆแน่”
“You win Pimlapat, but don’t be happy. I don’t forget today easily.
“มีรูปเป็นหลักฐานแบบนี้ ฉันคงไม่ลืมเหมือนกัน” พิมพ์ลภัสบอกยิ้มๆ สีหน้าสะใจสุดๆ
“You have photo to be evidence like this, I don’t forget it.” Pimlapat told smiley. Her face feels contented.
จัดการกับมาธวีจนได้รูปไว้เป็นหลักฐานแล้ว พิมพ์ลภัสก็บอกกับรเมศว่าเธอไม่ติดใจเอาความเสี่ยสมาน อยากให้เขาออกไปจากโรงแรมแห่งนี้เร็วๆ….รเมศเห็นหญิงสาวอารมณ์ดีขึ้นแล้ว เขาจึงถามเธอเสียงอ่อนโยน
Pimlapat can take Mathawee’s photo to be evidence. She told Ramet that she is not has trouble with rich man, Samaan, and she wants him to get out of this hotel quickly. Ramet saw she feels good, so he ask she soft voice.
“แล้วผมล่ะ คุณพอจะยกโทษให้ได้หรือเปล่า ทั้งเรื่องที่ผมไม่เชื่อคุณ และยังโง่เป็นเครื่องมือให้อดีตแม่เลี้ยงคุณอีก”
“How is about me? Can you forgive me? I don’t believe in you, and I’m fool tobe tool for your ex-stepmother.”
“โอ้ย ฉันไม่ใช่คนเจ้าคิดเจ้าแค้น และคุณเองก็พิสูจน์แล้วว่ามีความยุติธรรมพอสมควร”
“Oh! I’m not thinking too much person, and you prove that you’re rather just.
“ขอบคุณ…และผมยืนยันนะพิมพ์ ว่าผมเสียใจกับเรื่องที่เกิดขึ้นวันนี้”
“Thank you and I’m guarantee that I’m sorry what happen today, Pim.”
“แต่ฉันไม่เสียใจค่ะ แรกๆอาจจะกลัวนิดหน่อย แต่ก็ผ่านมาได้ อย่างน้อยเรื่องแย่ๆนี่ก็พิสูจน์ให้ใครหลายคนเห็นว่าฉันไม่ใช่คนโกหก และอาจจะทำให้ใครบางคนรู้ว่ามันง่ายแค่ไหนที่จะถูกคนที่เราประเมินไว้ผิดพลาดหลอกใช้ เหมือนกับเราเป็นหุ่นเชิด เป็นตัวตลก เหมือนกับว่าเราเป็นคนโง่”
“But I’m not sorry. First time I’m little scare, but I can passed it. At least, bad thing prove it to many people see that I’m not liar. Perhaps, it makes someone know that how is it easy to wrong appraisal person to make fooled. It makes us like puppet, like joker, like foolish person.
“ผมเข้าใจ”
“I understand that.”
“อีกอย่างนะคะ เหตุการณ์นี้ทำให้ฉันรู้ว่าการที่ถูก คนที่เราไว้ใจหักหลังมันเป็นยังไง”
“One more thing, this situation makes me know that how do I feel when I fooled by my trusty person.”
ทั้งสองสบตากันชั่ววินาที แต่ดูเหมือนว่าจะเข้าใจในความรู้สึกซึ่งกันและกัน ก่อนที่รเมศจะปล่อยให้พิมพ์ลภัสพักผ่อน ส่วนเขาแยกไปจัดการธุระของเขาต่อ
Both people make an eye contact a few second together, but they look like understanding feeling each other. Ramet let Pimlapat rest, and he go to manage his work.
รเมศกลับมาไล่มาธวีและเสี่ยสมานออกไปจากโรงแรม มาธวียังคงเกลี้ยกล่อมให้รเมศเชื่อในสิ่งที่เธอบอกว่าเธอมีเจตนาดีกับพิมพ์ลภัสจริงๆ ไม่ได้คิดว่าเสี่ยสมานจะทำเกินเลยไปขนาดนั้น แม้มาธวีจะพูดอย่างไร โกหกอย่างไร รเมศก็ไม่เชื่อใจเธออีกแล้วและยังด่าเธอกลับด้วย
Ramet come back to chase Mathawee and Samaan away from the hotel. Mathawee still induce Ramet to believe in what she told that she meant well toward Pimlapat. She doesn’t think Samaan wii do exceedingly. Ramet is no longer believe in Mathawee whether what she said or what she lie. Moreover, Ramet abuses her back.
“คุณมันโง่ ตาบอดแท้ๆที่ไปเชื่อนังพิมพ์ลภัสตัวแสบ”
“You’re foolish. You’re blind to believe in bitchy Pimlapat.”
“ผิดแล้วครับ ผมเลิกตาบอดในเรื่องพิมพ์มานานแล้ว… ผมเห็นและรู้จักพิมพ์ดี อาจจะดีกว่าที่คุณรู้จักด้วยซ้ำ พิมพ์อาจจะไม่ใช่คนที่ตรงไปตรงมานัก แต่เข้าก็มีความจริงใจมากกว่าคุณหลายเท่า และเมื่อทำผิด เขาก็ยอมรับผิดไม่โกหกซ้ำแล้วซ้ำอีกแบบคุณ บอกตรงๆ เป็นความสัตย์จริงนะครับ คุณมาธวี” ทำเสียงล้อเลียนจนมาธวีอาย
“You’re wrong. I stop in Pimlapat for a long time. I see and Know Pimlapat well, maybe you know too. Pimlapat may be not an outright person, but she has more sincere than you too much. Moreover, when she is wrong, she accepts her fault. She isn’t lie again like you. I tell you straight, it is truth, Mathawee.” Ramet is mimicking Mathawee’s voice until Mathawee is shy.
“ถ้าคุณเป็นผู้ชาย ป่านนี้ผมซัดคุณคว่ำเหมือนไอเสี่ยนั่นแล้ว”
“If you are a boy, I will punch you like rich man,Samaan.”
“คุณไม่กล้าหรอก”
“You’re not courageous.”
“เก็บข้าวของซะ เวลาครึ่งชั่วโมงของคุณเหลือน้อยเต็มทีแล้ว” ชายหนุ่มสั่ง มาธวีอึกอัก ตอนนี้ดึกแล้ว รเมศยังไล่เธอออกไปจากโรงแรมได้ลงคอ
“Pack your clothes. Half an hour of your remain less.” Mathawee is reluctant. This time is night, but Ramet still chases her away from hotel.
“ผมจะให้รถไปส่งคุณกับเสี่ยสมานในเมือง คุณไปหาโรงแรมอื่นนอนแล้วกัน”
“I will order a car to send you to Samaan in town. You find other hotel to sleep.”
“ฉันไม่อยากเชื่อเลย ฉันงานแฟชั่นการกุศลให้โรงแรมคุณ เตรียมงานมาเป็นอาทิตย์…ทั้งออกแบบเสื้อผ้า ตัดเย็บ แถมยังต้องวิ่งติดต่อนางแบบสารพัด ฉันเหนื่อยมาก แล้วผลเป็นไง…ฉันถูกไล่ออกจากโรงแรมกลางดึก ไม่มีเที่ยวบินกลับกรุงเทพ ไม่มีแม้แต่ที่ซุกหัวนอน ช่างตอบแทนอย่างคุ้มค่าเสียเหลือเกินนะคะ”
“I arrange it a week, including design clothes, make dresses, and contact models. I’m so exhausted from this work. How the result? I dismissed from hotel in the night. I haven’t a flight back to Bangkok, and anywhere to sleep. How is a good return?”
มาธวีทวงบุญคุณ แต่เธอไม่ได้มองย้อนไปถึงการกระทำของตนเอง รเมศฟังแล้วรู้สึกสังเวชใจ
Mathawee ask for help until the last second, but she doesn’t look back on her action. When Ramet listens to her, he feels pity.
คืนนั้นรเมศยอมให้มาธวีพักค้างคืนที่โรงแรมอีกคืน เพื่อเห็นแก่ความช่วยเหลือที่มีต่อกัน จากนั้น เขาก็ไปพบกับเสี่ยสมานที่ห้องพัก ฝ่ายนั้นเมื่อเห็นเจ้าของโรงแรมก็เกิดอาการกลัวขึ้นมาทันที พอถามว่าเกิดอะไรขึ้น เขาก็เล่าว่ามาธวีวางแผนให้เขาทำอะไรบ้าง และตบท้ายด้วยการขอร้องไม่ให้รเมศเอาเรื่อง
That night, Ramet admits Mathawee to stay at the hotel for one more day for goodness. Then he goes to see rich man, Samaan, at room. When Samaan see the hotel owner, he scares immediately. Ramet ask he what happen, he told that Mathawee plan him to do something, and please Ramet to let him go.
เสี่ยสมานควักเงินในกระเป๋าออกมาวางกองเพื่อให้รเมศเป็นค่าปลอบขวัญให้กับพิมพ์ลภัส รเมศมองเงินนั้นราวกับรังเกียจ อยากจะปาใส่หน้าเจ้าของไป แต่เมื่อนึกถึงพิมพ์ลภัส เขาคิดว่าเธอควรจะได้รับสิ่งตอบแทนกลับมาบ้าง จึงรับไว้ และไล่เสี่ยสมานออกไปจากโรงแรมในคืนนั้น โดยให้ลูกน้องขับรถไปส่งในเมือง และสั่งห้ามไม่ให้รับเสี่ยสมานมาที่โรงแรมนี้อีกต่อไป
The rich man, Samaan, pile the money in front of Ramet for Pimlapat’s compensation. Ramet looks at the money with disgust, and wants to throw it to rich man’s face. But when he thinks of Pimlapat, he thinks that she is worth to get something back, so he takes it. Later, he chases rich man, Samaan, away from hotel in the night. He order his employee drivinh a car to sent him to the town and order his employ that don’t take rich man, Samaan, to the hotel again.
พิมพ์ลภัสเพิ่งเจอเรื่องร้ายๆมา แต่เธอกลับดูรูปยิ้ม บอกกานดาว่าเธอเพิ่งผ่านเรื่องร้ายแรงมาจนไม่อยากไปทำงาน กานดาท้วงว่าเห็นเธอเอาแต่นอนยิ้มทั้งวัน จะบอกว่าไม่มีแรงไปทำงานไม่ได้ ถ้าไม่ทำงาน เดี๋ยวก็ไม่มีเงินใชหนี้คืนให้รเมศ
Pimlapat just has a bad situation, but she see picture with smiley. She told Kanda that “I just had a bad situation. I don’t want to work.” Kanda protest against that “I see you smile all day; you can’t claim that you don’t have power to work. If you don’t work, you don,t have money to pay owe Ramet.
คิดถึงเรื่องใช้หนี้แล้ว พิมพ์ลภัสนิ่งไปอึดใจ เมื่อคิดถึงความห่วงใยของรเมศที่มีต่อเธอเมื่อคืนนี้ พิมพ์ลภัสคิดอย่างเข้าข้างตัวเองว่า รเมศอาจมีใจให้เธอ ทำให้หญิงสาวชักไม่อยากใช้หนี้หมดเร็วๆเหมือนก่อนเสียแล้ว จึงตอบกานดาไปว่า
Think of pay owe, Pimlapat is quiet a few second when she think of Ramet’s concern for her last night. Pimlapat think that Ramet may have something to her. It makes her don’t want to pay debt fastly like last time, so he answer Kanda that
“แต่ฉันก็ชักชอบทำงานที่นี่เหมือนกันนะกานดา ถึงงานจะน้อยกว่าทาสหน่อย แต่ก็ไม่ต้องคิดอะไรมาก แค่ทำงานไป เพื่อนร่วมงานก็ใช้ได้ ไม่มีการแข่งกัน”
“I like to work here Kanda, even if work will little less than slave, but I don’t think too much. I just work, and co-workers are good too. They don’t competition together.
“มีด้วยเหรอยะ งานที่ไม่มีการแข่งกัน รู้รึเปล่าว่าตอนนี้คนอื่นเขาเพ่งเล็งมาที่เธอทั้งนั้น”
“Is it has the work isn’t competition together? Do you know that other people pay attention to you?”
“เพ่งเล็งอะไร”
“Pay attention what?”
“เขาพูดกันให้แซดว่า เธอน่ะมันพวกขี้เกียจทำงาน ชอบสร้างปัญหาให้คนอื่น”
“They talking that you’re lazy, like to make a problem to other people.”
พิมพ์ลภัสลุกขึ้นโวยวายทันทีด้วยการยกเรื่องที่เกิดขึ้นกับเธอเมื่อคืนมาอ้างว่า เธอเกือบจะถูกข่มขืน จะมาหาว่าเธออู้งานได้ไง
Pimlapat is standing and shouting immediately. She takes a situation what happen with het last night to claim that “I nearly raped, so that how can you say that I’m lazy.
“ใจเย็นน่าเธอ ที่เขาพูดแบบนั้นกันเพราะเขาไม่รู้เรื่องอะไรเลย”
“Take it easy. People talk like that because they don’t know anything.”
“ไม่รู้ได้ไง เรื่องออกใหญ่โต”
“How do they don’t? It’s big.
“คุณรเมศไม่ให้บอกใคร พอมีคนสังเกตว่าเธอหายไป คุณพัชรีเลยบอกว่าเธอไม่สบาย เลยลาพัก”
“Ramet order that don’t tell anyone. Someone observe you’re lost, Pachari told that you’re sick and take sick leave.”
หญิงสาวโวยวายทันทีที่รเมศมาออกคำสั่งไม่ให้บอกเรื่องที่เธอถูกเสี่ยสมานปลุกปล้ำ เธอคิดว่า การโพนทะนาตัวเองให้คนอื่นรู้ว่าถูกทำร้าย เป็นการปกป้องชื่อเสียงให้ตัวเอง
The women is unpleasant that Ramet order Pachari don’t tell anyone that she nearly raped by rich man, Samaan. She thinks that telling her nearly raped to other people is protection of her reputation.
“ถ้าบอกจะยิ่งเสียหาย เกิดเธอไปบอกว่าถูกเสี่ยนั่นปล้ำ คนอื่นเขาไม่ถามหรอกว่าเธอเป็นอะไรหรือเปล่า แต่จะถามว่าเธอเสร็จไอเสี่ยนั่นหรือยัง เขาอยากรู้แค่นั้นและถึงเธอจะปฏิเสธว่าเธอรอดมาได้ ก็จะมีคนสงสัยในคำพูดของเธอ” พิมพ์ลภัสอึ้งไปทันที
“Saying that will damage. If you tell other people that you nearly raped, other people will not ask you “Are you okay?”, but they will ask you “Have you had sex with rich man, Samaan?” They just want to know that. Moreover, if you deny that you can survive, some of them will confuse you with your word.” Pimlapat stop abruptly.
“ฉันก็นึกว่าเขาไม่อยากให้โรงแรมเสียชื่อเสียอีก”
“I think that he don’t want to make reputation of hotel damage.”
“นั่นก็ด้วย แล้วนี่นะ ถ้าเธอยังขี้เกียจไม่อยากไปทำงาน พวกพนักงานก็คงว่าเธอขี้เกียจ”
“That’s too. By the way, if you’re still lazy, don’t go to work, some staffs will blame you that you’re lazy.”
ได้ผล พิมพ์ลภัสที่สวมชุดนอนลุกไปที่ตู้เสื้อผ้าทันที
It’s work. Pimlapat, is wearing pajamas, is walking to the wardrobe immediately.
“ฉันจะไปทำงาน” หญิงสาวฮึดขึ้นมาทันที กานดาแอบยิ้มพอใจ
“I’m going to work.” The girl is anger immediately. Kanda smile happily.
พิมพ์ลภัสมาทำงานที่ห้องอาหาร เพื่อลบคำครหานินทาของพวกพนักงาน สายวันนั้นเอง เธอก็ได้ต้อนรับนารากับสิงหานาทที่เข้ามาในห้องอาหาร วูบแรกที่พิมพ์ลภัสได้เจอหญิงสาว เธอรู้สึกไม่ค่อยดีนัก เมื่อคิดว่านาราคือผู้หญิงที่รเมศหมายตาไว้ ส่วนผู้ชายที่มากับเธอแต่งตัวปอนๆ ด้วยเสื้อผ้าเหมือนชาวสวนคนนั้นคือผู้ติดตามของเธอเท่านั้น
Pimlapat go to work at restaurant for minus the staff’s insult. In the early day, she welcomes Nara and Singhanat who come in the restaurant. First moment that Pimlapat met the girl is not feel good. She thinks that Nara is a girl’s Ramet like. A man who comes with her dress an old clothe like a gardener, is just her guard.
